A synth-led R&B song, it was written by its producer Mike Dean as well as the Weeknd, Lily-Rose Depp, Ramsey, and Sam Levinson. The song relates to the storyline of The Idol and addresses themes of control, fame, desire, and Stockholm syndrome.
